Trinity has a range of different groups for young people
Junior Youth Group
The Junior Youth Group (JYG) is teenagers from Year 7 to Year 9 and meets every two weeks on a Friday night from 7.30 to 9.30 pm. The activities range from movie nights, fun dinners or even rocket nights. We change what we do each term but it always involves fun, laughter and having fun with friends. The evenings also include a devotion and we encourage young teens to ask questions, find out more about Christianity and be encouraged.
Senior Youth GroupThe Senior Youth Group (SYG) caters for Year 10 to university age students and young adults. We meet on alternate Friday nights during the school term, typically from 7:30-10:30pm. SYG events are generally structured social activities that range from dinners and movie nights, to archery, bowling, and car rallies. Some activities are more unconventional, and may or may not involve costumes, getting wet, getting dirty, making things, destroying things, or finding alternative uses for flour.
The emphasis is always on having fun together, and on growing friendships between young people that are founded on Christian faith. SYG nights include a devotion where we can reflect on a short message from scripture, and ask questions or share testimony in a relaxed, informal setting. SYG is open invite and new participants are always welcome.
